Meet Michael E., SAFE Boats
Washington Maritime Careers is presented by the NW Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology. The Center, which is part of Skagit Valley College, focuses on strengthening the connections between education and the industry to meet the technical workforce needs of the Washington State maritime industry. Michael started his career in HVAC, then moved to Washington and saw SAFE boats following the Washington State Ferries, which inspired him to apply. He loves working in the shop, wiring boats, and training fellow workers. Now he specializes in fiber optics as an integration lead.
