Career Connect Washington Maritime Sector Intermediary Project
In 2022, the Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology applied for designation as Career Connect Washington Maritime Sector Intermediary. As a Career Connect Washington Maritime Sector Intermediary, we are excited to take on the challenge of creating a statewide industry aligned maritime workforce sectoral strategy in support of the critical Washington State maritime industry.
Chmura Data Pilot, Phase II
The Workforce Data Pilot will identify, extract, format and deliver workforce and related data, using the Chmura JobsEQ RTI platform. This project will demonstrate the use and effectiveness of occupational, industry and other data to the workforce education and training system.
Submersible Remotely Operated Vehicle Project, Phase II
The purpose of this project is to provide access for high school students to a hands-on marine technology project, utilizing the Pufferfish ROV kit from the MATE Center, and the BlueROV2. The project will incorporate hands-on learning, problem solving, data analysis, teamwork and marine technology/STEM concepts. It will also introduce an ROV pathway and curriculum for students and instructors.
