Marine Center of Excellence Launches New Website

Welcome to Washington Maritime Careers, the official site for the Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology. 

This site is for anyone interested in learning more about the Washington State maritime industry, career opportunities, education and training resources, projects and initiatives that support the technical workforce of the industry, industry events and activities, and resource links.  In short, Washington Maritime Careers is a resource for all communities. 

We’re excited to launch the newly rebuilt site and have a lot to look forward to as we continue to develop the site, adding features and resources that can be used by education, industry and labor, policy makers, economic and workforce development, and community members.  Once the new site firmly established, we are going to publish the site in Spanish.  We are working on newly updated and interactive maritime career pathway maps to help folks explore career opportunities in the industry. 

Washington is a maritime state and home to a diverse and deep industry.  We are featuring important industry and related resource links to standards, classification and regulatory organizations such as the United States Coast Guard, the National Marine Electronics Association and the American Bureau of Shipping. 

We are going to expand career pathway maps to be fully interactive and relevant for you, the user.  We are building a video library to showcase the companies, activities and people that make-up the Washington State maritime industry.

Wavebreaker Blog

We are inviting industry, labor, education, apprenticeship, government and other partners to write blogs for the site covering topics that include emerging and blue technologies, important education and training topics, interviews with industry leaders and projects that are contributing to the growth, resiliency and competitiveness of the maritime industry.
